About Reiki
Life force energy" is believed to be the vital energy present within all living beings. Reiki is a gentle energy practice that aims to support balance and well-being by channeling universal life force energy to promote the body's natural healing processes.

The word REIKI means “Universal Life Energy”
REIKI refers to an Eastern healing modality that began in Japan in the early 1900’s. The founder was Mikao Usui. It is a healing method that harnesses the energy of the Universe, where the practitioner acts as a conduit, directing and transferring the universal life force to the recipient. Human beings are energy systems. Reiki is based upon the idea that we are alive because there is a universal life force flowing through us. If our life force is blocked or weakened, we become vulnerable to stress and illness, and if it is flowing and abundant, we feel happy and enjoy radiant health.
Though Reiki is a spiritual practice, it is not religious, and you do not need to believe in it in order to respond to its effects.
The mission of Reiki is to channel universal life force energy to promote balance, relaxation, and self-healing across the mind, body, and spirit. This energy does not belong to any individual but is considered a universal energy available to all. With a calm and quiet mind, anyone can learn to access it through Reiki attunement, and use their hands as intuitive tools to channel energy, helping to promote balance, relaxation, and harmony within the mind and body.
“Reiki does not belong to one person or one community, but it is the spiritual heritage of all humanity.” - Usui-sensei
“Reiki is wisdom combined with energy; it connects us to the universal source of light, it stimulates growth, it balances us from a physical, mental and spiritual point of view, it can heal the deepest wounds and it can bring to the surface the unknown potentials of our being.” - Usui-sensei
“Reiki is optimum health support. It is like a vehicle to our interior truth, which guides us to happiness. Happiness is the path to healing ourselves.” - Usui-sensei
REIKI ATTUNEMENT
While anyone can naturally channel universal life force energy without a Reiki attunement, my life changed after receiving proper Reiki attunement from three Reiki Master Teachers whom were direct receivers of Usui Sensei disciples. In formal Reiki training, the initiation attunement is necessary.
REIKI SYMBOLS
Reiki symbols are sacred keys used to focus and amplify universal life force energy.
The significance of these symbols can be compared to that of a Christian cross, a hazard sign, or even a heart emoji in a text message. When a large number of people collectively associate a symbol with a particular meaning, the symbol becomes a powerful mental and emotional cue. For example, when someone sends a heart emoji in a text message, the message of love is immediately understood without words. Similarly, Reiki symbols are believed to carry specific intentions and meanings that help with direct healing energy more effectively.
Similarly, chanting and prayers can serve a purpose. When a phrase is repeated by many people over time, it can take on a powerful symbolic meaning and presence. Like a slogan, mantra, or affirmation, the repeated words become deeply associated with a particular intention, feeling, or belief, often creating a strong mental and emotional impact on those who recite or hear them.
When many people believe in the same idea, it can gain significant influence and begin to shape perceptions, behaviours, and collective reality. With that said, I personally believe in the value and possible existence of all forms of gods and religions, and I respect the diversity of spiritual perspectives.
